In today's high paced, 24/7 society, most of us would say we do not have enough time to accomplish all that we want to do. Often, we spend our time and energies on in Stephen Covey's parlance, the demanding, but non critical areas of our life at the expense of the less demanding, but more critical areas of our lives. As a result, in the end we accomplish less, and often do not focus on the most important things in our lives; our families, friends, and our relationship with God. We do not neglect these areas on purpose. We just get wrapped up in the smaller issues of life. Often times, a spouse, other family member or good friend will constructively bring to our attention areas where we need to refocus our energies. One such area is our Prayer life. God desires to have a relationship with all of us, but it is a two way street. Prayer is our means of communication with God, and should be done daily; often multiple times a day. We all just need to be reminded of that. The Prayer Path ™ is just one way of doing that.

The Bible tells us to “Pray without ceasing" (1 Thessalonians 5:17), and “Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests." (Ephesians 6:18) and “Ask and it will be given you; seek and you will find; knock and the door shall be opened unto you." (Matthew 7:7) Clearly the Bible tells us to pray and pray often. Most of us of course do not pray as often as we should. We tend to let the pressures of the day be the top priority and that keeps us from praying the correct amount. As a result of course, how many lives are not being changed for the better? What would the difference be in an individual’s life if either they prayed more or they were prayed for more? How about a family? Or a neighborhood? A community? A country? Our world? What would wiser decisions mean, or better relationships? What the benefits be of praising God more, confessing our sins more, thanking God more, and finally interceding for people more? For most of us, it would be incredibly positive, and perhaps priceless!

Additionally, as you no doubt are aware, despite the fact that this country was founded on religious freedom, the Bible and prayer, there has been a major moral and political trend towards taking God, and prayer out of all public places including courts, schools and any other institution funded by public dollars. All indications are that this trend will continue meaning there will be less and less gratitude and prayer offered up to God for the benefit for the leaders as well as the citizens of our country. What a shame it is for our country after the way God has blessed us perhaps more than any other country in the history of the world, for us to turn our back on him like that. If we are to reverse this trend, it is going to be up to people like you and me who care about prayer and God, and take action to see that prayer and God are restores to their proper prominence in our communities. If we do not do it, it will not get done. We must use our time, talents, treasure and yes prayers to make this happen. To make an online donation, click here.
